This is an entry level civilian position responsible for assisting other staff in the performance of para professional tasks in the Police Department. Work involves directing traffic, writing reports, conducting security checks on parks/City buildings, and impounding stray animals. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the on duty supervisor or Police Officer.

Under the direction of the Grounds Manager this incumbent plans, prioritizes and implements grounds maintenance operations; recognize, protect, monitor and enhances the park’s natural resources and physical improvements; analyze situations and solve problems; inspect park facilities; inspect playground equipment; prepares athletic fields for play, perform physical labor relating to projects and maintenance functions, perform all function of support staff; respond and act upon emergency situations.

This is a manual labor position in the Operations Division of the Department of Public Works. Work involves driving of City vehicles, refuse collection, street patching and repair, water main, water lateral and fire hydrant repair and maintenance, park and forestry maintenance, and minor equipment maintenance. Work is performed under moderate supervision of the Operations Foreman group and is subject to review to insure proper work performance.

This is an entry-level sworn police position responsible for protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances. Work involves patrolling assigned areas, responding to criminal, suspicious, traffic and unusual situations as directed; investigating activities, gathering evidence, securing areas; protecting victims, the public and property; apprehending violators, completing appropriate paperwork and other related duties as required. Police Officers are also required to perform first responder duties and provide basic emergency medical service. Duties are performed under general supervision of the on duty lieutenant.
